Every chainsaw mill worth owning costs over a thousand euros. None of them let you build it yourself.
The ClampMill DIY Kit gives makers, landowners, and off-grid builders the hardware to build their own winch-assisted, no-rail chainsaw mill. You source the beam locally, assemble in 2–4 hours, and mill lumber wherever the log is — using the same patented technology as the ClampMill Pro.
- Mill lumber where the log is — no rails, no leveling, setup in under 60 seconds
- 70% less effort than a traditional Alaskan mill — the integrated winch does the pushing
- 12 kg without the beam — lightest option in the ClampMill lineup
- No fixed cutting width — you source the beam, you define the size
What's in the Kit
All the precision-engineered, electrogalvanized steel hardware you need to build a fully functional chainsaw mill:
- Guide rails for a beam up to 3.3 m (130") long
- One-click saw mounting bracket (patented) — attaches your chainsaw in under 10 seconds, no tools
- Integrated hand-crank winch assembly — the only portable chainsaw mill with built-in mechanical assist
- Universal log clamping system (patented) — grips any log shape in seconds
- All mounting hardware, fasteners, and assembly instructions
Note: The structural beam is not included. You source it locally at any hardware store — a standard 45 × 90 mm section (close to a 2×4) works perfectly. Need to mill logs longer than 3.3 m? The Rail Extension Kit (€39) adds 1.1 m per unit.
Assembly requires only a screwdriver and a set of hex keys (Allen wrenches) and takes 2–4 hours — similar to flat-pack furniture. No welding, no drilling into the beam.

Trusted by landowners and woodworkers in the USA and Europe
-
Mark A.
Vermont, USA“An excellent mill for landowners and woodworkers who want a simpler alternative to an Alaskan mill. It’s easy to use, well designed, and a great way to turn logs into boards without investing in a full sawmill.”
-
Andre M.
Turin, Italy“A smart, efficient tool that saves serious time in the field. For smaller and mid-sized logs, it’s a faster, more ergonomic solution than a standard Alaskan mill.”
-
Daniel J.
New York, USA“We’re on swampy land, so hauling out full logs was never realistic. Once the log is set, this mill is easy to run and far less demanding than a typical chainsaw mill. The design works brilliantly.”
